Come on Texas you can do better than that.

As if I needed one more reason to be down on Texas I turn on the news tonight and a woman from the board of education there is giving a statement and genius that she is mispronounces the word Oregon. Come on people it's a state, I'm not saying Everyone has to get it right first try, but if you are involved with education anywhere at least learn the correct way to say the names of the states there are only 50 of them.. if it's too much to ask everyone in that field to get it right how about we just ask the ones that either teach children or give national statements?

Ok heres a little lesson for you all.. it is NOT pronounced Or-ee-gone. Think of it more like Or-a-gun, only say it quickly and mash it together so the middle syllable is more of a cross between an A and an E, and equate the last syllable with the word "son" which is pronounced the same way as "sun".
