Debian, Dell and D'oh!
So here is the deal, I have a Dell Latitude X200 laptop, I have a Windows partition, and I have a Debian partition... What is the problem you ask? Why simple, the display just doesn't want to work with Debian frankly getting it installed was a pain because of screen flicker and proportion problems (the screen wants to take up more room than is physically there so it goes above the viewing area and occasionally overlaps) I was hoping this would be fixable once I got some updates in there unfortunately no such luck.
Currently I am able to get into Debian on the command line, X just won't start, no matter what I do I cannot get it to play nice with the screen, I suppose I could try going with another flavor of Linux and hope, but I really like this one.
Hopefully tonight I'll have more time to explore and document my problem and hopefully fix it, otherwise I'll probably end up trying a different flavor just to get the darn thing working.
Also I thought maybe I'd give an update on my Free iPod status. I now have Three people signed up and completed under me so all I need now is TWO more, if this were the shuffle it would be on it's way to my house...
