Upsetting

Anytime I find myself discussing anything scientific there is only one voice that I hear inside of my head. That being the voice of 'Mr. Wizard" Don Herbert. Being a child of the 80s I was of course a huge fan of "Mr. Wizard's World."

As I sat down to relax this evening I loaded up the net and was greeted with the news of Don Herbert's passing.

I just wanted to take a second out to say Thank you for being such a large and influential part of my childhood Mr. Wizard. You may be gone, but you will never ever be forgotten.

For the record the picture I found of him is 3 different shades of awesome.

I couldn't agree more Pierce. I too was a massive fan of him. I even wrote a little blog about him myself. Here's to being children of the 80s, Mr. Wizard, Hero the robot and the miracle of science! :) He indeed will truly be missed but as you said will live on forever in the lives and minds that he touched.

Hey Pierce,

Just popping in to see if you've gotten around to watching "2001" yet...

As a matter of fact I watched it the other day. However I wouldn't dare write about it until I have a chance to sit down and watch it once more (multiple viewings seems to be a recurring theme for me and movies these days).

I mean just take the first 15-20 minutes alone. I wouldn't know what to say, I was captivated and enjoyed them sure but I can't put my finger on why.

Now that you bring it up I think I'm going to bump it up to my next project. As soon as I'm done with my already tardy "The Innocents" thoughts.
